When glassmakers workshops moved to Murano in the 13th-Century, this already thriving port town with Roman, Asian and Muslim influences became a center for centuries of unique glass making traditions such as millefiori (thousand flowers) or Sommerso (submerged glasses) a technique of contrasting colors. This stunning NEC one of a kind necklace joins vintage Deco Murano glass with a delicate array of hues and rare 30s/40s Amethyst glass on gold filled findings and chain — a cascade of glass upon glass with adjustable chain.
